Great little sushi place. It's been here for years. Nothing disappoints. Service is good too. Enjoy

The people that work here, & I mean work, are wonderful, thoughtful, & top in their craft! They simply take pride in what they do. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Everything we order is perfect, & memorable. Thank you Little Tree Team...

I am leaving this review expecting this place to have five stars because it is amazing. We came on a busy Saturday night in Royal Oak and my girlfriend and I were greeted and seated immediately when we walked in. We ordered hot Saki and two Japanese beers. The two flavor sushi is the way to go wow so good. Also tried octopus for the first time and they hooked it up. The hostess over heard us talking about Saki and offered us a sample of coconut lemon grass and wow highlight of the night. Will be back and thank you to the little tree in Royal Oak.

The plan was to meet a few family members and some old friends for tasty Asian cuisine. What was slated to be a party of eight quickly became fifteen. Normally not a problem, but with Covid restrictions of ten per table from only two households, we had to scramble and improvise. HAPPY ENDING: Little Tree managed to seat us at four different tables in close proximity of each other. The waitstaff were accommodating and very friendly. It actually became an education for a few of us. The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. Once this virus thang runs it's course, we'll bring more people and all sit together at one table. A few of the dishes the family gave a thumbs-up for were the Nabeyaki Udon, the Thai fried rice and the miso soup. The Pad Thai with Shrimp and Chicken was also a favourite, but you have to up the spice. It was reported to be a bit bland. Finally, everyone was in agreement that all the sushi rolls were plentiful and they offered a wide variety. I felt the cost was more than fair. Unfortunately, I didn't try the Tempora Fried Cheesecake, but friends seemed to like it. That will come on our next visit as I am sure to be back a few more times. 04/21

I am so happy to report I am updating my review to a much higher rating than before. Some friends wanted to meet here a few weeks ago for sushi. Given our experience before we were a little apprehensive, but went along with it. I'm so glad we did. They had a few favorites they've had before so we let them pretty much guide us. We ordered the Lumpia, Fried Rice, Crispy Roll (only on the specials menu), a California Roll, a Spicy Tuna Roll and the Wow Roll and WOW were we surprised. This experience was MUCH better than the last few times we were here. The Lumpia were just ok, I don't need those again. The fried rice was excellent, our friends just can't get enough of it. But the sushi was outstanding. I know they seem like fairly simple rolls, but they were done right and very, very good. So good in fact, we ordered another Crispy Roll because we couldn't get enough. Fast forward to last night, ordered some carryout for dinner. The California Roll, Spicy Tuna, Shrimp and Crab Puffs and of course THE CRISPY ROLL! Omg I can't get enough of that. Shrimp tempura roll with avocado, topped with the most delicious spicy crab salad. Even a roll as simple as the California roll was buttery and delicious. The spicy tuna roll is filled with beautifully filleted tuna. My only criticism that was the same as last time is the rice, they are very rice heavy. I think next time I'll request light rice and see how that goes. The only item that was disappointing were the puffs, very fishy. I think they'd be better off just making crab Rangoon's if this is what they normally taste like. Well done Little Tree, you've definitely won me back as a customer. PS - I'll take photos next time to share with the Yelp world.
